Annulment Writing Workshop
An Annulment Writing Workshop will be held in the St. Rita's (Harahan) Monsignor Champagne Complex on Saturdays: November 24, December 1, & 8, 2018. Each session will last from 8:30am to 12:00pm.
Anyone wishing to apply for an annulment, respond to an annulment, or act as a witness is welcome to attend. (The final session will discuss the role/requirements of the Witnesses. Witnesses are invited, but not required to attend, and do not need to register/pay)
The Workshop will be conducted by lay ministers and clergy who work with the Tribunal and/or who have been through the annulment process. They will share their experiences with you in order to give you guidance as to how to write your story; they will pray for you silently while you write your story; and they will be available to you to talk or answer questions after you write at each session.
The Workshop will offer to you a quiet setting free from distraction, the companionship of others navigating the same process and experiencing similar emotions, and the ministry of those who have been through the process and can offer compassion and understanding.
The 3 sessions will cover the following writing topics:
Introduction to the annulment process; Life together; The wedding day, the honeymoon, and engagement; The former spouse's life before marriage; Your life before marriage.
The cost of the Workshop is $25, which is used to cover materials and refreshments.
